Eda describes his mantra, “study hard and keep making progress every day” as one of the secrets to the success he’s had for the past ten years of being in the industry. The start of Eda’s career began after spending two months learning to trim his own hair and analyzing hairstyle pictures in various magazines and websites. He took the time to study and recreate the designs of influential stylists like Eugene Souleiman, who still remains a prominent figure in Eda’s life. After he accumulated experience through working on photo shoots, he was able to master his art before deciding to finally venture out on his own. He told us, “when I became confident that I could do the job on my own, I began to cooperate with many different photographers who appreciated my work.” Eda adheres to an independent self-style in all his works and creations.
Scrolling through Eda’s Instagram page is a visual treat full of various colors, shapes, and styles. We asked him about the source of his inspiration, to which he answered, “I get inspiration from things I find enjoyable, which include watching exhibitions and then applying the interesting things I see from different pieces like paintings, sculptures, or the color of modern architectural structures to the creation of my hairstyles and wigs.”
Above all, Eda’s unique style has enabled him to collaborate with friends and create fun and distinctive works of art. Eda explained, “I see my work as art pieces full of imagination and exciting concepts that will accompany me through life.”
